All MTG events are run by the official Companion App. Please download and sign up BEFORE you arrive to the store. The event code will be added here if there’s time and it will be visible at the store screens. Adding players as a “guest” into our event does not generate more promos for the players. Players that use Companion App (CA) earn official (and unofficial) promos since player metrics is what determines the amount of promos we get for players.

 

WHAT IS OPEN THE ARCHIVE?

Magic Presents: Open the Archive invites players to draft Secrets of Strixhaven, but with a twist. Mystical Archive cards—some of the most exciting pulls in each pack—can be played in any deck, regardless of color, opening new strategies and letting players fully enjoy every Mystical Archive card they draft.

Special drafting rule: With each player’s first pick from each pack, they also take the Mystical Archive card from that pack.

BOOSTERS, PRICE, PAYMENT & LANDS

Payment at the store on the day of. The price of the event is the same as the price of 3x most current boosters our shelf. Seats are probably limited due to either lack of product or space. Universes Within sets are usually very scarce!

In the case of a Chaos Booster Draft, you would choose a mix of 3x different Play and/or Draft boosters and the cost would be whatever the sum is for those (must be English, un-sets are disallowed).

OMG has basic lands available at the designated Land Station.

 

STORE RULES, HYGIENE, RECYCLING, CLEANLINESS, ETC.

Players are expected to have read the store rules etc. before entering the store.

 

PRIZES

  • Winner: foil Promo Pack!
  • All “2nd place” players: non-foil Promo Pack.
  • During each event, per 8 CompanionApp users, we will randomize one of our surplus promo items
  • Players who finish the event with a winning record (having more wins than losses) receive a “blind challenge” coin featuring one of five Mystical Archive art designs.
  • MTG Arena will be promoting the in-store Magic Presents: Open the Archive event and will reward players who participate in at least one of these events with a Ral Zarek avatar in the game. To receive the avatar, players must register for the event using the same Wizards Account they use to log into MTG Arena. The avatar will be delivered to their in-game player inbox within one week of the event.
