About Us

Oh My Game Oy, or OMG among friends, is a Finnish game store that was founded in 2013 by Supi and three of his childhood friends. We are an LGS with tons of flavor! Our mandate is to provide players with a safe and friendly gaming environment for as many games as possible, coupled with an awesome community and a cozy living room-like gaming area. The OMG community as a whole consists of hundreds of players, all under the same roof, carefully divided within the Event Calendar. We support the LGBTQIA+ community wholeheartedly. Each player will feel welcome no matter their age, gender, ethnicity, disability, any personal aspects or political views. Although most notably the latter should be left at the door when entering the store. We are one big happy family!

I’m a husband and a father of two. But before the loves of my life, armed with primary school papers, I ventured into entrepreneurism.

 

Before OMG I worked in construction. Years of ~16h days and eventually busted my back and knee in 2010. Went through physical therapy and figure out something else for work. I was a trainee in a couple of local game stores and thought it would be interesting to earn a living like that.

 

Jumped through a lot of bureaucracy-hoops to open up my own game store in September of 2013, all the while in physical therapy. I was broke, but very lucky to have friends that wanted to support my idea of an LGS.

 

I was a mere casual gamer looking to do something cool for the Finnish gaming community, to provide for myself and dreaming of reaching the point of being able to extend that same opportunity to employees. Never in a million years did I expect to enjoy this profession so much, meet so many awesome people and make tons of friends for life. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished together with the players, without whom OMG wouldn’t exist. I am humbled in your presence and very grateful for each and every one of you. What we do withing the walls of OMG is truly a testament to how you CAN mix business with pleasure.
