WHAT IS DUNGEONS & DRAGONS?

D&D, or Dungeons & Dragons, is a cooperative fantasy tabletop role-playing game that centers on collaborative storytelling. Players create fictional characters and embark on imaginary adventures guided by a Dungeon Master (DM), who describes the world and acts as the referee. The game involves character creation, skill use, and combat, with players rolling dice to determine the outcomes of their characters’ actions.

Tervetuloa Dungeons & Dragons-maailmaan, tämän session teemana on tuleva Arcana Unleashed-lisäosa.
“Harper-ryhmän agentti on ollut teihin yhteydessä ja maksanut teille ennakkoon tutkimustyöstä: Huhut kertovat että Thayn Punaiset Velhot suunnittelevat jotakin katalaa Rashamenin maagisessa mutta kesyttämättömässä maassa.”
Seikkailu on jo säännöt tunteville pelaajille eli kyseessä ei ole aivan ensikertalaisille soveltuva tapahtuma. Pelaajia tapahtumaan mahtuu viisi ja pelataan kolmannen tason hahmoilla. Voit tuoda myös oman  hahmosi käyttäen seuraavia Dungeons & Dragons 2025/ 5.5 Player Handbookin ohjeita. Mikäli sinulta löytyy Arcana Unleashed, myös sen
– Hahmon ominaisuudet määritetään käyttäen Standard Array- tai Point Buy-valintaa.
– Toisen ja kolmannen tason osumapisteet saadaan Fixed Hit Points by Class-metodia käyttäen.
– Saat luokkasi ja taustasi perusaloitusvarusteet + pelin alussa valitaan muutamasta taikaesineestä.
Pelinvetäjältä löytyy myös valmishahmoja tapahtumaa varten. Valmishahmot ovat kirjan teeman mukaisesti Maagisesti painottuneita (Arcane Archer Fighter, Transmuter Wizard, Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk ja Vestige Warlock), ja enemmistö näistä on loitsulistojensa vuoksi hieman kehittyneemmälle pelaajalle. Otetaan kuitenkin mukaan Player’s Handbook loitsujen tarkastamista varten.
Jos sinulla on omat nopat, voit ottaa ne mukaan. Pelimateriaali on englanniksi.
Varauduthan, että sessio saatetaan vetää myös Englanniksi tarvittaessa.

Welcome to the world of Dungeons & Dragons, the theme of this session is the upcoming Arcana Unleashed expansion.
“Harper agents have paid you in advance for an investigation mission: Rumor has it that the Red Wizards of Thay may be plotting something sinister in the magical, untamed land of Rashemed.”
The event is for players who already know the rules in advance, so the adventure is not for absolute first timers. The adventure is for third level characters and the event can accomodate up to five players. You may bring your own character to the session using the following character creation options from the 2024 / D&D 5.5 Player Handbook:
– Ability Scores are determined using either the Standard Array or Point Buy Method.
–  Each time a character gains a level after level 1, their Hit Point maximum increases according to the Fixed Hit Points by Class table in chapter 2 of the Player’s Handbook.
– Characters begin with their normal starting equipment + a choice of magic item from a set in the beginning of the session.
– You may also use the Arcana Unleashed character options if you have access to the book.
Dungeon Master will bring pre-generated characters as well. The options are: Arcane Archer Fighter, Transmuter Wizard, Warrior of the Mystic Arts Monk and a Vestige Warlock. Due to the spellcasting nature of these characters, please mind that most of the are for experienced players. A copy of the Player’s Handbook will be provided for spell reminders.
You are free to bring your own set of dice. Game material is in English and session can be run in English if necessary
