All MTG events are run by the official Companion App. Please download and sign up BEFORE you arrive to the store. The event code will be added here if there’s time and it will be visible at the store screens. Adding players as a “guest” into our event does not generate more promos for the players. Players that use Companion App (CA) earn official (and unofficial) promos since player metrics is what determines the amount of promos we get for players.

 

WHAT IS A PRERELEASE?

Prereleases are hyper-casual and an awesome gateway format for those willing to delve into the beautiful game of Magic. It’s also a fantastic way of getting to know the wonderful gaming community of OMG. We are very inclusive and players help each other a lot during prereleases. There’s a designated Land Station of free basic lands for your decks. Deck building time is approx. 50min, after which we give out pairings shown on our screens and on your Companion App. Amount of rounds is max. 3 no matter the amount of players & the round time is 50 minutes. Estimated event time is 4 hours.

WHAT IS A TWO-HEADED GIANT (2HG) PRERELEASE?

A 2HG Sealed event is a fun team-based way to play Magic: The Gathering! Instead of playing one-on-one, you team up with a friend and play 2 vs. 2. Each team shares a life total, and you take your turns at the same time as your teammate.

How it works:

1️⃣ You build together
– At the start of the event, each team receives a pool of booster packs (usually 12 total).
– You and your teammate open all the packs and build two 40-card decks from the combined card pool.

2️⃣ You play together
– You and your teammate share a 30 life total.
– You take your turns simultaneously.
– You can talk strategy and help each other make decisions.
– You win when the opposing team’s shared life total reaches 0.

3️⃣ It’s beginner-friendly and social
– Two-Headed Giant is great for:
– Friends who want to play together
– Newer players who’d like support from a teammate
– Experienced players who enjoy collaborative strategy

It’s one of the most fun and interactive ways to experience Magic!

We are allowed to sell every kind of product specific to this set during an MTG prerelease, including single boosters and single cards. Please remember to preorder your sealed products well in advance via email or our online store!

 

STORE RULES, HYGIENE, RECYCLING, CLEANLINESS, ETC.

Players are expected to have read the store rules etc. before entering the store.

 

PRIZES

– As long as you’ve played at least one full round in addition to the deckbuilding, we distribute 2x PLAY boosters per participant during the event. Remember to ask for yours if you choose to drop. No top-heavy prizing!

– Bring-a-Friend promos (both new players and their experienced friends receive the promos).

**All promos might arrive late and are available as long as supplies last!**
