WHTOW: Learn to Play – Warhammer the Old World

WELCOME TO FREE – WARHAMMER: THE OLD WORLD – LEARN TO PLAY!

Join us for a beginner-friendly introduction to Warhammer: The Old World! Whether you want to play a game yourself or simply watch and learn, everyone is welcome!

EVENT DETAILS:

Army Size: 650 points per player.

Experience Level: Beginner-friendly.

Focus: Learning the rules, understanding army tactics, and having fun!

Bring your army (+ dices and measuring tape), roll some dice, and create your own story in the Old World. No experience required – just a willingness to learn and enjoy the game! There will be room for 4 persons to play at once. Please, when you sign in, let us know will you be participating to play or will you be watching and learning. We’ll also discuss plans for the slow-grow league, where players can build their armies and learn the game together.

– Select your Faction, select your composition (default is Grand Army) and then on “army composition rule” select Battle March.

– If you’re playing with Lecagy army, select the newer Renegade rules under “Army composition” instead of Grand Army.
– Set points to 650 points.
– Note that after you have built the army roster, you can print all the datasheets. This is recommended that the gaming flows smoother than looking and searching these details when playing.

We will have one 6’x4′ table split in two so we can run two demo games simultaneously. There is room for four players at once, rest of the players can spectate and rotate into playing after a game is over. Please write down next to your preregistration the time that you will be arriving so that we know how to rotate players. We will try to make it so that all interested players will have an opportunity to play.

WHAT IS Warhammer the Old World?

Warhammer: The Old World is a reboot of the classic tabletop wargame and roleplaying game set in a specific continent on the planet of Warhammer, called “the Old World”. The game is a return to the original, pre-Age of Sigmar lore, featuring a mass-battle system with fantasy staples like humans, dwarves, elves, and orcs, and is a revival of the previous Warhammer Fantasy Battles game. The reboot, released in 2024, features new rules and updated miniatures, bringing back the old legends and histories to a new generation of players.
